Meet our new Missions Assistant
Hi everyone,
It's a busy time in the Missions Office. We have the University Mission to the Philippines (December 29th through January 10th) in formation. We also have the medical/construction/outreach mission to the Philippines (January 25th through February 9th) in formation and we just announced the Bolivia Mission to Sucre (March 30th through April 13th). Love to have you come to Sucre. Let me know if you're interested.

I would also like to announce that Felicia Rodriguez has joined the mission office as the new Missions Operations Assistant. Here's a short introduction Felicia would like to pass on to everyone:
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Felicia Rodriguez. I am a wife, a mother to a beautiful five-year-old girl (Audrey), and the newest addition to the mission’s team here at the diocese of Joliet. Before accepting this position, I worked as an account manager, secretary, and accountant for two businesses. Although I appreciated the jobs I have had in the formerly, nothing has satisfied the longing I have had to serve God in every facet of my life. This position as assistant to the operations of missions has been an answer to prayer, and what I truly sense God has been preparing me for all along. As I explained to Bruce and Nancy, each job I have held, since I was fifteen no matter how insignificant I thought it was at the time, has given me the skills and training instills the confidence that I can be a helpful role in the mission’s department. While my work history had some influence on accepting this role, my true desire originated with a heart for missions. I went on my first missions trip to Cameron, Africa when I was sixteen. I never thought for a moment that I would be able to fulfill this passion in the realistic sense of being a young mother and wife, but God is good. He says, “For I know well the plans I have in mind for you plans for your welfare and not for woe, so as to give you a future of hope.”

I am so excited to be part of this team, and I look forward to getting to know each one of you throughout this mission. If there is anything I can do to help please do not hesitate to reach out.

May God Bless,

Felicia
