Greetings from AEU's new Program Support and Communications Coordinator, Jacob Ritter!
I’ve just started in my new role as the AEU's Program Support and Communications Coordinator and I’m looking forward to the work ahead! While I am new to Ethical Humanism, the idea that the purpose of religion is to promote values that strengthen local communities and motivate its members to address the issues that are affecting them the most is consistent with my Jewish faith. The more I’ve learned about it, the more I’ve seen connections between Ethical Humanist philosophy and my own. I am excited about the opportunity to create compelling content that reaches a wider audience so more people can see the significant impact that the AEU is having on the communities they serve.
Before joining the AEU, I was the Content Marketing Coordinator for the Mountainside Treatment Center, a national industry leader in drug and alcohol addiction treatment on the east coast. A native Long Islander, I graduated from Ithaca College with a bachelor’s degree in writing and a minor in integrated marketing communications. Since then, I have been committed to raising the profile of socially responsible organizations like PitchN, Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries, and CN Guidance and Counseling Services by producing marketing materials through different print and online platforms. A current resident of Jersey City, New Jersey, I enjoy watching my New York sports’ teams try not to lose and spending quality time with my six-pound guard dog, Bowser.
I am honored to join the AEU family and can’t wait to meet all of you soon!
