MCPL Welcomes New Director, Juli Wald
Our new director, Juli Wald, will be joining our staff March 15. A Hoosier at heart, Juli is happy to return to her home state. She grew up in New Albany and has lived in NC, FL, WY, and CO. As the next Library Director, she brings experience from academic and public libraries, management, retail, and a passion for connecting people to people and information. Juli enjoys camping and hiking with her dogs, reading with her cat, and writing letters to people all over the world.

Zoom Story Time
Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 10 a.m.
Join Ms. Beth for Zoom Story Time each Tuesday and Wednesday! We will make it as similar as our in-person programs as we can. This is open to all kids of all ages who are home. Story times will be held March 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, and 17.
Zoom Lego Club: Build a Train!
Tuesday, March 2, 4 p.m.
This month we will be building a train! Lego Club is our time to build Legos together, talk about our days, and see our friends. It is as social as it is educational. The members of Lego Club become friends and enjoy seeing what creations each person makes. This is open to all kids age 5 thru grade 5.
Zoom Craft Club: Duct Tape Shamrocks
Thursday, March 4, 4 p.m.
Join Ms. Beth to create a Duct Tape Shamrock! These are super cute and once you learn the technique, you can create as many as you want. Duct Tape will be provided, you will need scissors. This program is open to grades 3-8. The recording of this program will be posted the next day.
Kennedy's Kitchen Facebook Live Concert

Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a virtual concert with local Irish band, Kennedy's Kitchen. It's a mix of all things Irish, from traditional, sean-nos, to pub songs and sing-alongs.
Tax Time: A Q&A With Experts

Need help figuring out how to file your taxes? At this Zoom event, you will have a chance to pose your questions anonymously to tax assistance volunteers from the IRS’s VITA program and learn about other local tax assistance resources.
Spice of the Month Club: Paprika

Join our Spice of the Month Club! Each month, we explore a different spice; in March, we're focusing on paprika. You'll get a kit with a small container of paprika along with some recipes and information about its origins and uses. You can pick up your spice kit during the week of March 15-20.

A slow cooker is a wonderful kitchen appliance, but are you making the best use of it? Knowing how to use your appliance and prep ingredients can be the difference between a good slow cooker meal and a great one! At this Zoom workshop, learn how to use your slow cooker and gather ideas for easy, healthy recipes that your family can enjoy even on your busiest days.
Young Learners (STEM) Program

Join this program to learn how to make a wind anemometer! Young Learners Club is a STEM program focusing on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Young Learner's Club is open to all students in grades K-5. Register by the Tuesday before Club Meetings to have a packet of supplies prepared for you. The recording of this program will be posted the next day.
Upper Elementary Painting Class
Thursday, April 22, 6 p.m.
We have a new guest artist coming to teach us how to make some amazing art! Audrey will be teaching us how to create a piece of chalkboard art using stencils and chalk-paint. All artists will use the same design on their stencil, but they get to pick their colors.
