Meet our new shelter manager

We are delighted to welcome Elizabeth Knapp back to Twin Oaks Shelter for the Homeless.

Elizabeth previously served as the Twin Oaks case manager, and was working as a case manager in Community Action's Transitional Living Program when our previous manager took a position elsewhere. Elizabeth brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to her new role.

Thanks, Stebnitz Builders!

Stebnitz Builders of Delavan partnered with United Way of Walworth County on the National Day of Action. They really gave our shelter a face-lift with paint and a variety of renovations. They even repaired a bathroom in a unit that was unusable.
We couldn't have done it without these long-time supporters of Twin Oaks!

Watch a video of their hard work!

What we're learning this month

Twin Oaks residents participate in mandatory workshops during their stay. These workshops supplement our one-on-one case management to ensure families are ready to move past their housing crisis.

In August, we're getting back to school and back to work. Residents are polishing up their resumes, working on interview skills and learning to write a letters to employers.

Have a workshop idea? Call us at (262) 882-3662.
