2014 Essay Prompt:  "What should be the father's role in the decision to choose life over abortion?"
Middle School Winners:

1st Place:  Taylor  Hensley, 8th Grade, Notre Dame School, Chico:
"Fear's flame can be extinguished with love, the love of a friend, a partner, a father. It's a team effort; it takes two." 

2nd Place:  Zach Kniestedt, 8th Grade, St. Mel School, Fair Oaks: "The father needs to make it his personal mission to keep the baby alive and give the mother incredible support. Those two things are the key."  Read Zach's essay 
 
3rd Place:  Sadye Peschke, 8th Grade, St. Mel School, Fair Oaks:
"This young man must be there for his partner as a strong supporter of life, to give her hope and receive the same." 
High School Winners:

1st Place:  Alyssa Agatep, 9th Grade, St. Francis High School, Sacramento:
"Persuading the mother to choose life is only half the battle; the father must also act as a source of comfort and support." 

2nd Place:  Gunnar Meyers, 10th Grade, Seton Home Study School, Nevada City:

"The father's role in choosing life is huge and cannot be stressed enough... Why is it that men do not fight for what is theirs?"
