Jazz 1 & 2 Curbside Pickup Performance
November 12th
This Thursday, from approximately 3 to 5 p.m., both Jazz 1 and 2 bands will be playing -- socially distanced -- in the school parking lot for the bi-weekly curbside pick up. Lots of teachers, the library, and other groups try to coordinate pick up and drop off during this time. The bands are looking forward to this slightly altered but none-the-less exhilarating opportunity to perform. Stop by and enjoy it from a safe distance.

Ballard Market Receipts
December 10th 3pm - 5 pm
The holiday season is approaching and, even though our celebrations may not look the same this year, there is sure to be food. As you make your lists and menus and pick up your favorite treats, please keep Ballard Market in mind and save your receipts!
BPAP is excited to partner with Ballard Market to support all of our artists! For every receipt submitted to BPAP, the Ballard Market will give us a portion back to support our students. Save those holiday shopping receipts and drop them off at Curbside Pickup on December 10th.

The Show Must Go On Direct Give:
Joyful Noise with the Band
Every Gift Matters. As parents and community members, you know the joy and purpose that the performing arts brings to Ballard High School. So many kids find community and confidence in the arts. As one band parent shared “I’m a former drama nerd, I can attest to the fact that I use the skills I learned in the school play more than the skills I learned in Algebra.” But the math is simple here; the district doesn’t fully fund their Arts programs. Rather than turn kids away, we invite them to be part of this vibrant, creative community. You can help make sure this community is here for every student.
Please make a donation today. We’re hoping for $100 per student in the Performing Arts Program.
Where Does the Money Go This Year?
We don’t have uniforms to repair and clean, or trips to take... so what do we need the money for? Our directors explain it best:
|
|
The biggest expenses this year are:
- Software and editing for
- Classroom instruction
- Collaboration
- Performances such as Greater Tuna and the upcoming Collage Concert.
- Coaching
- Additional instruction time
- Private lessons—available to all students, to level the playing field and offer any student resources to hone their craft.
