During this session, guests can learn how best to establish strong working relationships with both newspapers and showcase the good work of your non-profit or for-profit organizations.
Topics will include media engagement, filtering news before it's pitched to reporters and the role of digital media in today's news landscape.

David Sede
ño, Editor, The Texas Catholic
David Sedeño was named the executive editor of The Texas Catholic in 2008, after a long career in secular journalism as a reporter, editor and executive with The Associated Press, The Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Over the past 11 years, he has re-focused the Catholic media organization to more local coverage of schools, parishes, organizations and families - and also has increased the evangelization efforts of The Texas Catholic via its digital footprint online, through videos on social media and through various documentaries.
In 2016, for the first time in its history, The Texas Catholic was named by its peers as the Catholic Newspaper of the Year by the Catholic Press Association. David and his wife Ellen are parishioners at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and the parents of three adult children and of another one in heaven.
