Energy Optimizers, USA, LLC specializes in developing, engineering, and implementing energy efficiency and energy savings projects for educational, governmental, and commercial customers. Their services reduce clients’ costs while protecting the environment. As a family-owned business, Energy Optimizers, USA emphasizes ethics, honesty, customer service, and education with its associates, vendor partners, and customers.

Energy Optimizers, USA is passionate about assisting school districts and local governments in reducing operational costs, so that they can use those funds to improve the educational process or provide essential services without raising taxes. In 2018, GEO chose the Graham Local Schools in Saint Paris, Ohio as the first recipient of our Green Achievement Award for Community and Government. We learned of the school district through Energy Optimizers, USA, who had implemented an Energy Conservation Project that resulted in utility savings of over $409,681 in three years. That led to their support of an all-female Middle School “Energy Team” that developed more sustainability projects and won prizes in community-wide competitions, as well as the US Department of Education “Green Ribbon School” award in 2019.

A member of Green Energy Ohio for many years, Energy Optimizers, USA has signed letters of support for legislation favorable to the industry, lending a corporate voice to the policy debate in Ohio. Their leadership has participated in efforts to educate Ohioans on the need for and benefits of clean energy through conferences and conversations with the media. They are affiliated with a wide range of organizations in the Greater Dayton area and numerous state-wide educational associations.
In the fall of 2007, Montgomery County Commissioners convened a forum of local citizens, government, and business leaders to identify strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Montgomery County and the region. Many ideas were generated from the forum, including the creation of the Dayton Regional Green 3 (DRG3) Task Force.

One of the most consequential outcomes was the development of the Green Business Certification ProgramThe DRG Green Business Certification program was initially launched in 2012 and reimagined in 2019 as the Bring Your Green Challenge. Organizations can gain their green business certification through simple checklist items. Once the online green business certification application is approved, they can join Bring Your Green Challenges to engage their employees and further their green efforts. They also gain free access to online web-based reporting tools to track energy, waste, and water usage and calculate the environmental impact of their sustainability efforts. DRG maintains a directory of over 1000 Green Certified Businesses in two dozen categories.

This online platform is open to all and allows participation by organizations and individuals. A recent gamified update to the Bring Your Green platform allows for participation by Individuals and Enthusiasts to encourage sustainable and consciousness lifestyle choices.

Dayton Regional Green hosts regular events that bring together sustainability professionals, corporate executives, and local activists. From the quarterly Sustainability Luncheons which provide a space for sharing ideas and best practices and learning from the success of others in the community to co-hosting PIVOT, an annual sustainability conference.
Thank you to our hosts at the University of Dayton and to our generous sponsors!
