Meet The Scheherazade Initiative Orchestra
Distinguished Artists from 24 Countries and 75 Orchestras, Ensembles, and International Music Academies

A Concert Celebrating the Resilience of Women and Girls in the Face of Violence

Net Proceeds to Benefit
On Monday night, October 19th, 90 distinguished musicians from 24 countries and 75 orchestras, ensembles, and the great music academies will gather onstage at Carnegie Hall to perform the Scheherazade-inspired masterpieces of Maurice Ravel and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.

Music For Life International is honored to bring these artists, along with Elmira Darvarova, former Concertmaster of the MET Orchestra (the first ever female concertmaster in the history of the MET Orchestra), Susanne Mentzer, distinguished Mezzo-Soprano, and Solo Flute Robert Langevin, Principal Flute of the New York Philharmonic, all of whom are donating their artistry in support of ending violence against women and girls.

Scheherazade's example reminds us that telling our stories, speaking out, creating new narratives of compassion, justice and hope, is at the heart of what we can all do together to end violence against women and girls.
