Hello! My name is Bobbi, and I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new Mission Developer at Luther’s Table. It is an incredible honor to walk alongside this community and help carry forward its legacy of radical hospitality, creative expression, and nourishing connection. As we enter this exciting new chapter, I am filled with hope and anticipation for the ways we will grow together.
A little about me: I was born in the suburbs of Chicago, but as a Navy kid, I experienced life in many different parts of the U.S. After earning my bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from California Lutheran University, I moved to Japan, where I spent 10 years as a missionary teaching English through the ELCA Global Missions program. My time in Japan shaped my love for building relationships and creating spaces where people feel seen and valued. After returning to the U.S., I spent over a decade serving in youth ministry, where I helped cultivate faith formation in children and youth. From teaching, mentoring, and organizing retreats and mission trips to helping young people discover their gifts and callings, I found immense joy in equipping youth to take on meaningful leadership roles both inside and outside the church. Accompanying them on their faith journeys remains one of my greatest joys.
This past year, I earned a master’s degree in Leadership and Innovation from Luther Seminary. My call as a Deacon is rooted in bridging the church and the world—meeting people where they are and creating spaces where they can encounter community, connection, and belonging. Luther’s Table offers this kind of third space—a place where we can gather to be seen, known, and loved, whether we are seeking rest, inspiration, healing, or simply the joy of being in community with others. It’s a place where radical hospitality and love are embodied, where conversation flows freely, and where transformation can happen.
In my free time, you can find me soaking up the sun, sipping coffee, and watching the hummingbirds and squirrels in my yard. I also love rainy days in the PNW, especially when the mist weaves through the trees after a good rain. I enjoy digging my hands into the soil to tend to my plants and run a small business called Cyriously Creative, where I create watercolor and hand-lettered art in inspire and uplift. Creativity flows into all areas of my life—whether through art or brainstorming innovative ways to bring people together.
As we step forward into this exciting new chapter at Luther’s Table, I look forward to connecting with you! I invite you to stay connected through our social media channels and monthly newsletter. Exciting things are on the horizon, and I can’t wait to see what we’ll create together as a community!
