Meet the Teacher events are scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, at the middle schools, each elementary school, and at Shull Early Learning Center.
Students and families may visit the school to meet the teacher(s), see the classroom, and drop off supplies.

Creekmoor Elementary School invites families to arrive at 3:45 p.m. for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the new playground. One More Scoop ice cream will be available for purchase.
East Middle School: Due to limited parking with the construction of the Ninth Grade Center, RPEMS has two nights scheduled for Meet the Teacher. You can meet 6th grade and elective teachers from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16. You are invited to meet 7th and 8th grade teachers from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17. The event includes a meet and greet, locker move-in, self-guided building tour, and popsicle social with the team from 5:30 to 6 p.m. each night.
Missouri sales tax holiday is Aug. 5-7
Missouri's 2022 tax-free weekend started this morning (Aug. 5) and continues through midnight Sunday, Aug. 7.
Certain back-to-school purchases such as clothing, school supplies, computers, and other items, are exempt from state sales tax and local tax in participating communities.
Note: City sales tax in Peculiar will still be collected on the sale of qualifying items.
Students (grades 7-12) planning to participate in fall activities or athletics must have a completed, current physical on file with the school before practice begins. Physicals are now good for two years from the date of the exam. Once the physical is completed, submit it using the PRIVIT app.
