January 2021
Happy New Year!

We trust that you are in good health and spirit. We greatly enjoyed our partnership in the past year and looking forward to exploring together what lies ahead.

In spite of everything that happened in 2020 we ended the year on a high note and that was because of you! We received a very generous gift of $110,000 from our very good friends and supporters from Monaco, we distributed COVID supplies to three of our supported schools, and we began construction of a new classroom and school administration block in two of our supported schools, just to mention a few! Read more in our news segment below.

Warmest wishes from the Land & Life team. May this new year bring you good health, joy, and success in abundance!
Meet the changemakers
What does it take to make a positive impact in people’s lives? For this remarkable couple, it means first cultivating and nurturing relationships based on mutual trust and respect with everyone they come into contact with. Birgit and Constantine are a household name in Amboseli and bona fide changemakers in the community. Through the A. E Reimann Foundation and SKÅL International Monaco, they have brought positive growth in Esiteti Primary and community. Between end of November and mid-December 2020, they gave a very generous gift of $110,000! These funds will be used to pay school fees for primary, secondary, and tertiary students, salaries for Esiteti Primary staff, address the community's priority needs, to mention a few! Read more about this extraordinary couple and the difference they are making in our community.

Farewell Heath!
It is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to Elewana's Head of Operations, Heath Dhana. Heath took Land & Life under his wing from very early on and has been instrumental in helping us deliver on our promises and commitments to our communities. He was our biggest cheerleader and champion through and through. Heath, thank you for your unparalleled support, leadership, and guidance. You showed empathy, encouraged, and motivated us to succeed.  It was an absolute pleasure working with you! All the very best to you and your family as you embark on the next chapter of your lives! You will be greatly missed.
Still spreading some COVID kindness
In the spirit of our Pamoja Fund COVID response initiative, this past December we were busy as bees working to ensure that our supported schools got access to COVID supplies.

We have since donated 30 handwashing stations each with a capacity to hold 120 litres of water, 1,566 reusable face masks for teachers and students, 9 Thermo guns, 120 litres of handwashing liquid soap, 20 litres of toilet detergent, and 30 soap dispensers to Ura Gate, Kachiuru and Ololomei Primary Schools.

This was made possible because of the unwavering support received from our good friends Derrick and Kimberly Birum, Chanel Vann, Mary Vann and Lim Fung. Our goal is to provide these to all our supported schools.

Therefore, if you wish to get involved please write to us. We'd be delighted to collaborate with you!

One down, one to go!
As you may recall, in October last year our very good friends Jim and Georgios at Gigi Seasons gave us a very generous gift of $35,000 to construct a classroom and school administration block in two of our supported schools.

We are very excited to report that the classroom (L) at Morijo Primary School near Elewana Loisaba Lodo Springs! is now almost ready for use! The next step will be to equip it with desks.

We are also happy to update you that the construction of the new school administration block at Kachiuru Primary is progressing very well and the building will be ready for use the first week of February!

Stay tuned for more updates and news!
