Brenda M. Udunna 

Strategy, Supplier Diversity & Sustainability Manager 

Apache Corporation 


Brenda Udunna has over 25 years of combined Supply Chain experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Contracting, Category Management, Supplier Onboarding, Supplier Diversity, Supply Chain ESG, Data Management, Performance Management, and Governance. She is passionate about D&I and was nominated as a pioneer Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Council member at Apache in 2020. Additionally, she established and led the Global Supply Chain D&I Committee at Apache in 2021. Brenda holds certifications in Supplier Diversity (CPSD), Supply Management (CPSM), Contract & Commercial Management (CCMP & CCME). 


Brenda is currently the Manager of Strategy, Supplier Diversity & Sustainability at Apache responsible for Supply Chain governance, Supplier Diversity, Supply Chain Sustainability, and supplier onboarding. In addition to developing and implementing a new global policy, standards, and key procedures for the Global Supply Chain, one of her focus areas is to launch and lead a Sustainability program which includes Supplier Diversity, Local Content, and Supplier Code of Conduct. 


Michael D. Bryant

Director,

TxDOT’s Civil Rights Division


Bryant began working with the Department of Family and Protective Services as a procurement and contracts attorney and served as the agency’s Historically Underutilized business coordinator. While working at the Office of Governor Rick Perry, he served as counsel to the Trusteed Programs within the Office, including the Economic Development & Tourism Division, Texas Military Preparedness Commission, Texas Music Office, and the Texas Film Commission. At TxDOT, Bryant has worked on a variety of matters related to the Civil Rights Division, HUB and DBE issues, comprehensive development agreements, intellectual property, and the agency’s information technology outsourcing with NTT Data.


Bryant is originally from Washington, D.C., and moved to Austin with his family in 1978. He is an alumnus of Saint Stephen’s Episcopal School, Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, and the University of Texas School of Law.
