Meet Volunteer Helen Garard
Helen Garard has jumped in with both feet to volunteer with Habitat McLean County.

From volunteering on job sites and for the Women Build committee, to the ReStore, to becoming a project director for the 2022 Women Build house, Helen does it all.

Thank you, Helen!

House Blessings
One of the best days in a Habitat build season is the day we bless the house and hand over ceremonial keys to the homeowners. It's a chance to celebrate all the hard work of our partner families and our volunteers. We held two on Saturday, June 25 to celebrate the Ariell Ashley and Elaina Guerra families!
Ariell Ashley receives keys from Linda Nichelson and family as project directors Bob Kerestes (l) and Bill Tolone (r), and other guests look on. Ariell's house was built in memory of long time volunteer Bill Nichelson.

Project directors Hank Campbell (l) and Gary Klass (r) present Elaina Guerra the keys to her house. She and her 4 children will now have a safe and affordable home with enough room for everyone. Learn more about the Retired Crew.
Lots of love and support for Ariell's accomplishment from family, friends, volunteers, and Habitat staff and Board. Thanks to lead house sponsors Calvary United Methodist, First Presbyterian, and Wesley United Methodist, along with the Nichelson family and friends for supporting this build!
On a rainy Saturday, Elaina was joined on her porch by her extended family and friends. There is much joy to share as Elaina celebrates this huge milestone.
Please join us for 2 more House Blessings on Saturday, June 9.
All are welcome.

Women Build "Pops" over Donny B's
The Women Build committee can't say enough good things about Donny B's support for their recent fundraiser.

Through Donny B's generosity, plus popcorn sales and donations, Women Build raised nearly $1,200!

A big thank you to everyone who bought Father's Day gifts for the "Pops" in their life.
