General Convention in Baltimore – Meet West Missouri’s Deputies

When Bishop Bruce was seated in her cathedra on the feast of the Epiphany, there was no reception for our bishop provisional to meet the many Episcopalians from across our diocese because of the skyrocketing COVID-19 infection rates. This summer, each deanery is hosting host a picnic with Bishop Bruce as the honored guest, in hopes of celebrating her ministry among us. These picnics will also serve as a time of fellowship — a reminder that we are one church in West Missouri.

If you are coming to one (or more!) of the picnics please RSVP now so that we know how many people we need to cater for

Dates announced for national, international Episcopal youth events

After three years’ delay due to COVID-19 restrictions, The Episcopal Church Department of Faith Formation is pleased to announce dates in 2023 for the Episcopal Youth Event (EYE) and Evento de Jóvenes Episcopales (EJE).

In addition, the application period is open for those interested in serving on the EYE planning team. The deadline to receive applications is July 15.

Women’s Retreat – Cultivating Resilience in a Changing World

The Women of the diocese are invited to attend a special Women’s Retreat, Cultivating Resilience in a Changing World. We are planning a full day of prayer, discussion, and activities.
Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd. Every Friday at Noon throughout July Join us for a 30-minute recital. Newly appointed Good Shepherd Music Director, Sam Fleming, and other Kansas City area organists will perform the recitals which are free and open to the community.

July 21, at 7 p.m. Online. Join Kim Snodgrass, Assistant to the Bishop for Christian Formation, to explore Formation from a fresh perspective, take the opportunity to ask questions, and share experiences. This will be a good resource for churches that are wondering how to approach and promote formation from a new direction this fall!
