On a quick calculation, Meeting Coordinators, Inc. has scheduled at least 10,660 meetings over the last 34 years! Like snowflakes, no two meetings are ever the same. We don’t produce widgets that are always duplicated. We deal with people, and each meeting is unique to the association or company we are working with. The advantage for us, of course, is that we have the vast and tremendous experience to know what will and what will not make a meeting successful. We bring best practices to each of our clients. What works for a human resource meeting may also work for a sales and marketing meeting, so knowledge is shared.


Every month at our staff meetings we review each of our clients and discuss what is working for them and what is not. Did you know that each of our staff members are cross-trained on each of our clients? The benefit in doing this is so the account manager can receive support at any time. There are ebbs and flows with the work required to organize meetings. Many days only one account manager can handle the day-to-day work. However, when the registrations are pouring in and programs need to be assembled, signs need to be printed, menus determined and phones are ringing off the hook, extra hands are needed. At that point any one of our talented professional staff can step in and assist without a huge learning curve. It is nice to know that someone always has your back.


I read a while back that Meeting Planning is one of the most stressful jobs. I can understand why. I liken it to the theater business…A performance cannot be delayed; the curtain is opening whether you are ready or not. The stress can be intense leading up to opening day. I also read once that if you are not nervous before an opening, wanting everything to go well, then you best get out of the business because you have become too complacent and your audience will feel your lack of energy. No need to fret about complacency at Meeting Coordinators, Inc…we all have a healthy dose of the jitters! Your success is our success. Thank you for giving us 10,660 opportunities.
