Member Spotlight, Featuring Tammy Bonifield

This meeting was the last meeting that the Club will have for the year. The weather was bad, with many schools closed, but many Rotary members attended the meeting, bringing special breakfast treats for our end-of-year celebration. Time was extended for the starting of the meeting for socialization. The meeting started with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by the Invocation by Mike Ladwig and the collection of Happy Bucks by Sharon Pommerville. 


President Nancy Darga turned the meeting over to Greg Greene, from the Giving Committee.

Greg said the Giving Committee will meet only once a quarter instead of once a month going forward.


• Rebuild Rotary Park to receive an additional $10,000 in funding.
• 
  Livonia Symphony Orchestra to receive $2,000. Nancy will contact Noel Jackson to see if his group would be willing to match the LAMR Grant. Our Club is to ask the Noon Club if they would be willing to match our Grant.
  
• Livonia Cares to receive $1,000.
  
• VT Seva, the committee recommends that we see if this project is eligible for the District Governor Golf Outing Grant Program.
  
• Girl UP, the committee recommends reaching out to the Stevenson Interact Group to see whether they would be willing to manage this grant at their school.

Rotary Park Update: Our club has some funds we will give to Rotary Park, from our Money Market account once the funds are due. We are close to our fundraising goal. Donation status phone calls will be made.

Storage Space Update: Bill Friske has located a storage space that our club has rented. The move has begun and will be completed soon.
