Recently, Mega Cranes was tasked with assembling a structural steel penthouse on top of the Brentwood mall. The only feasible location to set up the crane was along Brentwood Blvd which had six levels of parkade down below. By working closely with engineers and re-shoring each of the six levels, the crane set up had to be extremely specific to ensure the outriggers would be placed over top of the shoring to provide the structural support of the 110Ton crane. Some challenges on the jobsite included live traffic and restricted space for outrigger deployment, we were able to use variable position outriggers and a reduced counterweight radius to allow traffic flow behind the crane. Even with the challenging conditions, the lift was executed successfully, highlighting Mega Cranes commitment to careful planning, and dependable performance. |
