ABOUT BUDDY’S MAGIC TREE HOUSE

While Mega Ran’s first chart-topping children’s album release “Buddy’s Magic Toy Box” in 2023 explored the awkwardness of embracing parenthood for the first time as a foster parent turned adoptive father, the follow up “Buddy’s Magic Tree House” is him settling into the role and having fun along the way. “If I can teach 12-year-olds, then adults are easy,” Ran often says on stage, half joking. The merging of all of Mega Ran’s worlds was complete.

“Buddy’s Magic Tree House” is a star-studded rocket blast into the stratosphere, centering on the concept of safe spaces. Catchy pop tunes meet smart lyrics and genre-blending fun, as the song on the album go from Jersey Club to R&B to Ska to Folk and plain old hip-hop seamlessly.

Collaboration is the key element to the Tree House, with guest appearances by GRAMMY® winners 123 Andres and The Alphabet Rockers, along with nominees Justin Roberts, Uncle Jumbo, FYUTCH and the legendary singer/songwriter Kimya Dawson. “Buddy” himself, Mega Ran’s 3-year-old son Zion, joins the fun on the intro.

All are welcome in the Tree House. The only requirement: be bold, be yourself.

Mega Ran is a former middle school teacher turned rapper, songwriter, producer, podcast host and author who makes crowd-powered interactive and fun hip-hop inspired by games, family and pop culture. A pioneer of the “nerdcore” music subgenre, he’s rocked audiences all over the world, placing music in million-selling video games (Mortal Kombat, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), TV programming (WWE, AEW) and films (Clerks III).

The “Teacher/Rapper/Hero” has 8 albums that have placed on Billboard and is the first rapper ever to be licensed by a major game developer (Capcom). Today as a foster parent turned adoptive father, Mega Ran creates family friendly art, bringing songs of positivity, kindness and togetherness to crowds of all ages.
