A constant theme as we enter the holiday season is the focus on celebrating the blessings of the past year and enjoying time with family and friends.
This has been an interesting year, to say the least. The global pandemic has changed our way of life in numerous ways and only time will tell what permanent change will remain. In spite of this wild ride I am very thankful to be a citizen of this country, a member of the Sedgwick County Commission, married to my wonderful wife, and the proud father of two fantastic adult children. I am very thankful to have so many dedicated public servants at Sedgwick County and am very proud of the accomplishments we have made in 2020.
While this year's festivities will undoubtedly look different, I hope all of you take the time to reflect on our year, give thanks, relax, stay safe, and enjoy time with those close to you.
Stay safe, and take care of yourself.
Pete Meitzner
Commissioner- District 1
