As the leaves change colour and the air gets cooler, Melanoma Canada is set to bring you some amazing events with purpose this fall and winter! Speaking of amazing, our Golf & Grill tournament has grown. It’s not just in one city anymore – over the past few weeks, we’ve taken it to Vancouver and Montreal, as well as brought the Canadian Event Industry Award-nominated event back to the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Golf & Grill is certainly not your regular golf tournament!

Melanoma Canada submitted a survey for Nivolumab and Relatlimab on July 10th, 2023. The review process started on July 25th, and feedback will be accepted until January 18, 2024.

Global Pharma Updates

V940 and Keytruda

Merck and Moderna initiate phase 3 study evaluating V940 (mRNA-4157) in combination with Keytruda (Pembrolizumab) for adjuvant treatment of patients with resected high-risk (stage IIB-IV) melanoma. Read full press release here.

Opdivo

BMS has received a positive recommendation from the CHMP (Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use) of the European Medicines Agency for the approval of Opdivo (Nivolumab). Opdivo is recommended as a monotherapy for the adjuvant treatment in adults and adolescents aged 12 and older with completely resected stage IIB or IIC melanoma. This recommendation is based on the positive results from the Phase 3 CheckMate-76K trial, where Opdivo showed a significant and clinically meaningful improvement in recurrence-free survival compared to a placebo.
