Hello Friends of Melanoma Know More,

As a result of the current COVID-19 situation in our country and beyond, Melanoma Know More has made the challenging decision to postpone all face-to-face meetings and activities until June 1st. This includes our monthly skin cancer screening clinics , which is in response to our partner hospital systems making the difficult decision to put nonessential business on pause to focus efforts and resources on COVID-19. Additionally, this also includes our educational outreach initiative in schools and businesses as well as community and corporate health fairs .

Early detection and prevention of melanoma efforts must continue despite what is going on in our world. We encourage you to perform monthly self exams. Click here to learn how to perform a self exam provided by our friends at the American Academy of Dermatology. Additionally, click here to learn more about the ABCDE’s of melanoma. If you have something that is suspicious during this time, please click here to locate a dermatologist in your area.

Please know, our organizational mission remains unchanged during this time. We may just have to adjust our sails a bit. We will continue our efforts to raise awareness about melanoma and our mission virtually. Please stay tuned to our social media outlets and our website for current information.

Thank you for your continued support and commitment to the mission of Melanoma Know More.

“She stood in the storm and when the wind did not blow her way, she adjusted her sails.” ― Elizabeth Edwards
