Earle A. Chiles Research Institute, a division of Providence Cancer Institute in the Robert W. Franz Cancer Center, is currently conducting more than 150 research studies, including clinical trials of targeted therapies and novel immunotherapy approaches.
Melanoma study: are two therapies better than one? 
A phase II study at Providence Cancer Institute will evaluate the combination of oncolytic viral therapy and checkpoint immunotherapy for patients with advanced or metastatic melanoma. Providence is one of 13 centers in the world, and one of four centers in the United States, to offer the new clinical trial.
