Melmark New England's Celebrating 25 Years of Mission First Moments Gala

A Tremendous Success!

Thank you to everyone who was a part of Melmark New England's Celebrating 25 Years of Mission First Moments Gala on May 6. As of today we have raised nearly $470,000, and counting!

We are grateful for your support and will be sharing a more public update in the coming weeks!

A sincere thank you to the gala planning committee and MANY volunteers for their dedication and hard work towards such a fantastic 25th anniversary event!

We are excited to share that the June 14th Family Town Hall Meeting will be followed by our Melmark New England Spring BBQ and Activities. Save the date and we'll share more details as we get closer!

Staff Updates

We are pleased to announce that Tyler Lenois is being promoted to Interim – Educational Coordinator for Class 7 and Class 8 effective May 1st. Tyler joined Melmark New England as an ABA Classroom Counselor on September 2013 and was promoted to Lead Special Education Teacher in February 2019. Across roles, Tyler has shown great dedication and commitment to our students past and present. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to support others in any capacity. Within his role as a Lead Special Education Teacher, he has developed trusting and meaningful relationships with students, their families as well as staff. 

Tyler earned his Master’s in Special Education from Endicott College, possesses MA DESE Teaching License in Severe Disabilities and is Board Certified as a Behavior Analyst.

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Kayla Barberian to Lead ABA Counselor at the Maple residence! Kayla obtained her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Emmanuel College. Kayla began working as an ABA Counselor at Maple since June of 2020. Kayla has built a great rapport with all of the students she works with at Maple, as well as whenever she is going to other programs for support. Kayla has taken initiative at Maple with shift management as well as working with the supervisor team to ensure integrity of systems in the residence. Kayla has demonstrated great professional growth since starting at Maple and she exudes a great deal of compassion and positivity. I look forward to Kayla’s on-going growth and professional development.

Health and Wellness Updates

HR Update: JOIN US AT THE MELMARK WELLNESS FAIR ON 6/7

The MNE Wellness Fair is for ALL EMPLOYEES.

• It will be held at 461 River Road, Andover.

• 11:30 am - 3 pm-Representatives from our insurers will be on-hand to answer questions, do interactive activities, hold raffles and/or prizes,

• 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm: Chair yoga session All are welcome, It is understood that many Residential Staff will be on shift, so a make up event will be planned for Residential Staff who cannot attend at this time.

• 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm: OE presentation for Day Staff. This will be the same as the 5/24 presentation.

Melmark facilitates the sharing of knowledge regarding clinically sophisticated, evidence-based practices. All events are streamed to Melmark divisions, so you can attend the location nearest you.

NEW: Science in Autism Treatment Newsletter!

We are delighted to share that content of the May 2023 issue of Science in Autism Treatment is focused on Melmark.

This special issue features a new interview with Rita M. Gardner, President and CEO of Melmark, in addition to an article authored by Frank L.
