2022 has not started out as any of us would have wanted. We feel the pain of our restaurants, fitness facilities, and so many local businesses struggling through this latest round of restrictions. We share your frustrations. As your local chamber of commerce, we will continue to keep you connected, save you money, promote you, and advocate for your business.
We will connect you with other local business and political leaders at our “State of Business in Dufferin” event on February 3, 2022. We will continue to connect you with resources and keep you updated as funding opportunities become available and as legislation changes.
We will save your business money with existing programs like the Chambers Plan Health Insurance Benefits, and our new Advertising Bundles.
We will continue to promote local businesses to consumers. We are at a crossroads where failure to support local businesses will cause further closures, taking valuable products, services, and jobs out of our community.
We will advocate with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, calling on the government for further supports for business and a comprehensive plan that ties restrictions to clear, data-based metrics so that employers, workers, and families can plan ahead.
That past two years have been hard. But together we will get through this.

Demand for rapid tests has been incredible at our Chamber and all those participating across the province. DBOT has distributed over 30,000 kits so far, and province-wide over 7 million tests have been distributed through the Ontario Chamber Network.
Unfortunately, our shipment of kits is on backorder from the Province of Ontario. As such, we are unable to book any further pickups until we receive our order.
We appreciate your patience, and we share your disappointment that we cannot take orders until further notice.

Chamber Reacts to Further Restrictions
(Toronto – January 3, 2021) – Today, Rocco Rossi, President & CEO, Ontario Chamber of Commerce, released the following statement:
“We recognize that public health and a healthy economy are intrinsically linked, however, sweeping new restrictions – impacting employers, workers, and families – unaccompanied by immediate and commensurate supports is unacceptable nearly two years into the pandemic. We need a comprehensive plan that ties restrictions to clear, data-based metrics so that employers, workers, and families can plan ahead.
“We are all are doing our part. Now, government needs to do their part. What additional steps does the government plan to take to over the next 21 days and beyond?
“Newly imposed public health measures intended to control the spread of the Omicron variant should always be met with immediate, commensurate and targeted relief, particularly for small businesses, many of whom cannot afford any further reduction in revenue.”
