On the UMA Town Hall yesterday afternoon, Ken Presley cautioned everyone that dwindling participation in the Federal Transit Administration's Charter Service Registry could put the program in jeopardy.

It was mentioned that only 216 carriers are currently enrolled in the FTA's registry. We are encouraging you to sign-up for the Charter Service Registry, so you don't miss opportunities, and to assist keeping the program in place.

“If you are not registered," Ken said, "you cannot use the charter service regulation to prevent a public transit from taking a charter or file a complaint. The regulation is there for your protection: register!"
