The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has asked us to share this press release with you. It is regarding their launch of the 2021 Our Roads, Our Safety campaign:
FMCSA is pleased to announce the launch of the 2021 Our Roads, Our Safety campaign. This year’s campaign theme is “Our Plan to Share the Road Safely.” Still focusing on road safety practices related to large trucks and buses, the new theme further emphasizes the notion of shared safety responsibility by all. While CMV and passenger vehicle drivers are our primary target audiences, we will also disseminate educational messaging to motorcyclists, bicyclists, and pedestrians.
The Our Roads, Our Safety outreach efforts will be conducted nationwide, with heightened media placed across the top 10 states with the highest number of crashes and fatalities with commercial motor vehicles – California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Texas.
New educational and shareable resources are available for download on the Our Roads, Our Safety website. Please help our effort by sharing these resources with your state and local stakeholder networks.
