The Second Annual Small Business Recognition Awards will be presented at the Annual Member Meeting. Due to COVID restrictions the event will be held outside at the Yanceyville Pavilion. Event is limited to 50 attendees so we encourage you to reserve your seat now.

Advocate Award
2020 Winner - Community Foundation of the Dan River Region. The success of a small business is often dependent on the ecosystem that it is surrounded by. This designation honors an organization that strengthens the community’s small business and community environment.
 
Community Contributor Award
2020 Winner - County Outreach Ministry. This recognition pays tribute to an organization, that although small, makes a big difference in the lives of others. Nonprofits and for-profits alike can participate in this category.
 
Culture Creator Award
2020 Winner - Caswell Family Medical Center. Creating a company culture is not just for large companies. This small business is intentional by investing in the development and well being of its employees.
 
Emerging Entrepreneur Award
2020 Winner: Lillard's Family Restaurant. The kudos will go to a young professional (under age 40) who is shaking up the small business space in our community.

William Crumpton
William “Billy” Crumpton has been CEO of Compassion Health Care, Inc. since 2016. He holds an MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Administration.

Billy is a Caswell County, NC native who returned to his roots to lead CHC where he was once a pediatric patient at Caswell Family Medical Center. He is passionate about community health and even more passionate about helping push Caswell County forward. We are pleased to have him as a new member on our board.

Science Center, Caswell Campus
At the Caswell PCC Campus, a new science lab has officially opened this past week.
Area leaders and donors were present for the ribbon cutting. Students and instructors provided demonstrations on the new equipment.
