As part of the Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change, the new Environment and Climate Change Canada Program, the Climate Action Incentive Fund (CAIF) is delivering up to $218M in its first year (2019-2020). The program is available in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and New Brunswick .

The Climate Action Incentive Fund (CAIF) SME Project stream provides support to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for retrofit projects in sectors such as Building, Transportation, Industry, Waste, Agriculture, and more. Please visit the website for more information.

Eligible recipients are:
  • Small sized incorporated enterprises of 1-99 employees
  • Medium-sized incorporated enterprises of 100-499 employees
(Note: Participants in the  Output-Based Pricing System  are not eligible.)

Applications are currently being accepted. (The application period began July 17, 2019 and will run for 90 days or until funding are exhausted).

Deadline Is Coming Up: #SolarSnap Photo Contest!
CanSIA and Gowling WLG are excited to introduce the #SolarSnap Photo Contest , an initiative of CanSIA’s Power for the People Campaign in Ontario.

It’s easy to participate. Just submit a photo and caption highlighting your personal experience with solar energy and explaining why Ontario should adopt free-market regulations that expand access to solar.

 Submissions will be accepted until August 2, 2019 , with voting taking place on August 6th. Solar fans from across the province will help pick the winners. Visit the contest webpage for full contest details.
