Now seeking active, visionary leaders from the business community to serve on the Chamber Board. Nominate individuals who are interested in volunteering their time to steer the largest business organization in San Marcos. Criteria are listed below. Monthly meetings are required. Submit nominations by July 10 using the form below.

Suitable nominees should be:

An active member of the business community and the Chamber
A decision maker in his or her field
Interested in serving as a volunteer
A person with vision and leadership skills
Able to attend monthly board meetings, usually held the fourth Wednesday of the month from 11:30am-1pm.

8th Annual Mermaid Capital of Texas Fest – Mermaid Promenade & Downtown Street Faire

September 28th from 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Mermaid Promenade scheduled from 10:00 a.m. – Noon.
The Downtown Street Faire immediately follows the parade Noon-6:00 p.m.

The Mermaid Capital of Texas Fest is created to celebrate San Marcos’ vibrant community while highlighting the San Marcos River. In 2023 the festival featured over 100 parade entries, 140+ artisan vendors and over 7,000+ festival-goers. Live R&B music, cultural dance performances, artisan booths, food courts, and downtown pubs and restaurants will all be part of the 2024 Downtown Street Faire experience!

Come Celebrate the Inaugural Fiesta San Marcos

Immerse yourself in a day of Tejano music with AJ Castillo and talented friends. This outdoor event features five Tejano groups, delicious food booths, unique vendors, and arts and crafts. Fiesta San Marcos offers fun for the whole family – join us for an unforgettable experience! Sponsorship and vendor opportunities are still available.

Maurice T. Suttles VFW Post 3413 Event Rentals & Cookbook Fundraiser

The Maurice T. Suttles VFW Post 3413 offers event rentals for parties and gatherings. Located at 1701 Hunter Road in San Marcos, the air-conditioned venue accommodates up to 200 guests, making it ideal for various events.

In addition, the VFW is hosting a cookbook fundraiser. Community members can contribute recipes, honoring loved ones by sharing their cherished dishes. Ad spaces are also available for businesses.
