Savannah Training Center hosts apprentice graduation and open house
The Southeastern Carpenters Training Trust Fund hosted a graduation ceremony for eight new journey-level millwrights last month, and swore a new group of members into Local 1263 before hosting an open house of its Savannah Training Center. Read more about the event and view more pictures here.
Nashville Training Center
is 70% complete
Interior framing and groundwork are in progress, while at the same time, exterior brickwork is being installed in the construction of a $5 million, 25,000-square-foot training facility in Nashville, Tennessee.

3M issues recall notice for lanyards
3M Fall Protection has issued a “Stop Use /Recall” notice for select 3 DBI-SALA ShockWave2 Arc Flash Shock Absorbing Lanyards that were manufactured before June 2022. A manufacturing issue could result in the lanyard not performing properly in the event of a fall, which could result in severe injury or death. U.S. job growth continued in May
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the economy added 390,000 jobs, with a 3-month moving average of 408,000. Job growth remains steady, and unemployment remained unchanged at 3.6 %. Read more from the May jobs report here.

Soaring temperatures and construction projects are not a great mix. All members are urged to be mindful of their health when working in this Summer heat.
