Member Feature: Let’s Play Monopoly with a Twist and Support Local Businesses on the Peninsula!

Peace Arch News is introducing a new interactive feature to push our shop local agenda in the community called Peninsul-OPOLY. This feature will get our readers to engage with the advertisers and you will get extra exposure in the community.

It’s a fun, local twist on the classic Monopoly board game – set right here in South Surrey/White Rock! It’s a great opportunity for people to support local businesses, explore the community, and win amazing prizes.

Here’s how it works:

For the 5 Thursdays in July, Peninsul-opoly board will be in the centre spread of the Peace Arch News.
To enter the contest our readers must present 3 receipts from participating businesses (dated within the game’s time frame) and they must visit a minimum 5 businesses and get their board stamped for 1 entry (we will provide the stamps).
The stamped board and receipts can be dropped off to Peace Arch News office or can be emailed to them.
Each participating business will provide $25/$50 gift card. Winners will be announced in August and each will win $250 gift card pack.
The size of the spot is 2.5” x 2”. Only 20 spots available.
This contest will also promoted on Facebook and Instagram.

This initiative is all about encouraging residents to shop local, discover new places, and engage with our vibrant community – while having fun!
