Mercy Care would like to provide clarification on the distribution of member handbooks.
The Mercy Care RBHA Member Handbook applies to SMI, CMDP and DDD members. The ACC Member Handbook applies to ACC members, including GMHSU, non-CMDP and CRS. DDD members also receive the member handbook produced by the contractor who delivers their physical health benefits. ALTCS members receive their health plan’s handbook from their case manager.
GMHSU members will no longer receive the RBHA handbook, as the benefits for those members may be different. It is also important to note these members may be enrolled in one of seven health plans, so it is imperative providers ensure the corresponding handbook is offered to each member.
The easiest way to access Mercy Care member handbooks is on our website at
. This information is provided to members in the welcome letter that contains their member ID card. Mercy Care also notifies members annually that they can request a printed copy of the member handbook by contacting Mercy Care Member Services.
