Input requested on proposed changes to National Building, Fire and Plumbing Codes
Public review to proposed changes to Codes Canada publications is now open.

  • If these proposed changes are approved they will be published in the 2020 National Codes.
  • We are asking members to provide formal comments to National Research Council before January 4, 2019.
  • To assist members, BILD Alberta will provide a summary of all proposed changes highlighting key changes that would impact the industry.
  • A preliminary review of Part 9 Housing and Small Buildings will be sent to members on November 21.
  • Reviews of other Parts and Fire and Plumbing codes to follow.
  • Members are encouraged to forward feedback on the proposed changes to Matthew Armstrong to help inform the comments to association will provide on the proposed changes.
