Plans are underway and we can't wait to share all of your accomplishments and more at the PEP Annual Meeting and Environmental Stewardship Awards on Thursday, September 5 at the MacQueen Alumni Center! This program aims to highlight successful environmental stewardship efforts, encourage best practices, and inspire others to adopt sustainable approaches. Award categories cover a range of environmental initiatives, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and conservation efforts. You can register online now.

PROJECT DESIGN GROUP, INC. SHARES PRAISE FOR USA ENGINEERING INTERNS


Logan Collins and Mallorie Collins are identical twin sisters majoring in Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Alabama. They have worked at Project Design Group, Inc. for the past two summers and have been a tremendous asset by checking drawings, preparing scopes of work, making field trips and performing 3-D scans. They are expected to graduate from USA next spring. 


In addition to their studies, they are both USA cheerleaders and active in their sorority, all while maintaining a 3.5 GPA. They plan to continue their education after graduation to acquire their master’s degree in business. 


Logan and Mallorie are extremely smart, well-grounded and service-oriented. This is a testament to the quality of engineers that are produced by the University of South Alabama. 


If you attend a South Alabama football game, be sure to speak to them; they will be very happy to say “hello”.

PERSONS SERVICES MAKES ANNUAL INC. 5000 LIST


Congratulations are in order for a PEP member company! Persons Services was named to the annual Inc. 5000 list.


The state of Alabama had 46 companies on the annual Inc. 5000 list, the publication’s ranking of fastest-growing private companies in the United States.

AIRBUS CELEBRATES 500TH PLANE ASSEMBLED IN MOBILE


Airbus recently celebrated its 500th U.S.-built aircraft assembled in Mobile, AL.com reported. The 500th plane made in Mobile was a Delta Air Lines A321neo. Delta has added more than 130 U.S.-produced A320 and A220 aircraft to its fleet since the Mobile plant began assembling them. Airbus continues to increase the number of its employees at the facility, with nearly 2,400 currently and expectations for another 500 to be added to work at the new assembly line by next year. It plans to build another 500 planes within four or five years.
