Market Activity Overview, Week of July 6:
- Inventory fell to its lowest level since tracking began in March, as the week came in at 87.2 percent of last year.
- New contract levels stayed strong, coming in at 120.6 percent of the same week 2019 activity.
- New listing volume (96.9 percent of 2019 same week) performed similarly to last year.
- Showings continued well above prior-year levels at 132.0 percent of the comparable week a year ago.

New Jersey Enacts Permit Extension Act of 2020 to Address Delays Caused by COVID-19
The Permit Extension Act of 2020, which Governor Murphy signed into law on July 1, 2020, will have a significant impact on pending real estate projects - both those that have received government approvals and those with pending applications before governing bodies. It is imperative that permit holders contact the appropriate state agency issuing their permit to ensure registration. Failure to do so within the prescribed time will render the permit or approval ineligible for extension.

Applications for Realtor Emeritus Status
A Realtor who has held membership in NAR for a cumulative period of 40 years as a Realtor, Realtor-Associate, or both, and who has served for at least one year at NAR is eligible for Realtor Emeritus status. Applications are due to your local association (CORE) no later than October 2, 2020. The service to NAR that qualifies is at least one full year as a NAR officer, director, committee member, Federal Political Coordinator, Global Ambassador, or Global Coordinator to a country with which NAR holds a reciprocal agreement. The award recognizes three Realtors️ or Realtor-Associates who have made extraordinary commitments to improving the quality of life in their local and/or global communities through volunteer community service. The nominee's community work must have been conducted, started, or completed between September 1, 2019, and August 31, 2020.
- Three winners will be chosen and receive a grant for their charity of choice - $2,500 for first place, $1,500 for second place, and $1,000 for third place.
- Deadline: September 18, 2020.
