Office Closure CORE will be closed next Monday, January 18, in observance of the Martin Luther King Holiday. We will reopen at 8:30 am, Tuesday, January 19.

Next Steps: After Submitting the Circle of Excellence Application The CORE Circle of Excellence Committee will review the applications next week, and they’ll be reaching out if there are any issues. The following are helpful dates to keep in mind:
  • January 8: Deadline for CORE to receive all 2020 applications. No applications allowed after this date.
  • January 13-15: CORE’s Circle of Excellence Verification Task Force will review all applications and verify the level that was earned. Committee members will reach out to agents/brokers, if:
  • There is a level change
  • Their application is denied
  • Additional proof is needed
  • January 20: Deadline for CORE to submit all verified applications to NJR
  • January 22: Deadline for CORE to notify all winners, via email, of their award level
  • February 1: Marketing materials will be available via NJR’s website, and agents may announce/advertise their award. Note: You may not advertise before Feb. 1

Reminder - Finish Your CE by April 30 The deadline to complete your continuing education (CE) requirements is quickly approaching. Dues Renewals Reminder 2021 Realtor dues renewals were due by December 31, 2020, and a late fee of $99 will be assessed for dues not paid by January 31, 2021. Mercer County: Free COVID-19 Testing at Various Locations from January 12-15 If you want a test or know someone who does, visit www.trentonnj.org/covidtest

Somerset County: Free COVID-19 Testing Available to County Residents On Wednesday, January 13, from 10 am - 1 pm, the County will be conducting drive-thru testing at Raritan Valley Community College. Testing is by appointment only. Schedule an appointment here.
Mercer County: Become an Environmental Steward! The Rutgers program prepares adult volunteers to tackle environmental issues in their local community by offering training in climate change, soil health, alternative energy, water resource protection, invasive species, habitat conservation, pollinator health, environmental policy, and more. This year, Rutgers Cooperative Extension is offering one statewide, online class on Tuesdays from 5:00 to 8:00 pm from January 26 through June 1. Register by January 22 here.

NJGov: Rent Relief Under a new law, landlords are required to allow tenants to pay their rent with a credit card. 
NJ.Gov: Property Tax Relief For Seniors The deadline for senior homeowners to apply for the Senior Freeze Property Tax Relief Program has been extended to February 1. It reimburses eligible senior citizens and disabled persons for property tax or mobile home park site fee increases on their principal residence. National Association of REALTORS® (NAR): Fraudulent Insurance Calls Are Not From NAR Members are again receiving robocalls and texts from numbers claiming to represent "NAR health insurance."
