Realtor of the Year Nominations/Applications CORE is now accepting applications for the 2021 CORE Realtor of the Year Award – to apply click here. The award criteria includes business accomplishments, civic and charitable activity, and service to the Realtor organization at the local, state and national levels. The winner will be determined by CORE’s Realtor of the Year Committee, comprised of past presidents and former Realtors of the Year, and will be submitted by CORE for consideration for the state Realtor of the Year Award. 
  • CORE members can submit an application on behalf of themselves or another member. Alternatively, members may also nominate a fellow CORE member for the award by sending an email stating you are nominating a particular CORE member to info@core-realtors.com, and CORE will send a note of congratulations to that person with a link so they can apply. Two Days Left - Food Drive for Flemington Area Food Pantry: CORE’s Community Outreach Committee is excited to be holding a food drive to benefit the Flemington Area Food Pantry.

This is the first of three food drives that CORE will be holding throughout the year to support each of the counties in our Association area: Hunterdon, Mercer, and Somerset. 
CORE Circle of Excellence Awards Parking Lot Pick Up & Virtual Event Awards will be available for pick up at the CORE Branchburg office on Tuesday, May 25 and at the CORE Trenton office on Thursday, May 27. All member offices are urged to have someone pick up the awards for your entire office. Continuing Education (CE)

Avoid the $200 Late Fee for Licensing Renewal The NJ Real Estate Commission has waived the $200 processing fee (late fee) until May 31 and has extended the current CE cycle to complete all NJ CE requirements until July 19. All real estate licensees are required to renew their license for the new term beginning July 1. Agents are urged to talk with their brokers regarding to submitting the renewal fee to the NJ Real Estate Commission. Licensees are also required to complete the Qualifying Questionnaire prior to renewing their license.

Check Your CE Credits Log into your PSI CE Tracking System account to verify that you have met all of the requirements to renew your license.

Bright MLS

Weekly Market Report For the week, the market saw a slight improvement in the inventory shortage. Active inventory returned to the 70 percent level. Encouragingly, a new listing volume outpaced recent pending sales. This week there were only 93 pending home sales for 100 news listings. Get more stats in Bright MLS's Weekly Reports here. Bright Policy Update Webinar The 2021 real estate market has been challenging with buyers aggressively competing for historically low-housing inventory. Receive Tax Credits for Residential Development Projects The Residential Economic Redevelopment and Growth (ERG) Program provides tax credits for developers and businesses to address financing gaps in development projects. Projects can receive tax credits of up to 30 percent of total eligible project costs or up to 40 percent in targeted cities. Applications for the Residential ERG Program open June 1. Read more.

NJ Realtors Nomination Process Now Open New Jersey Realtors’ nominating process is now open for positions beginning in 2022. Available this year are two officer positions: First Vice President and Treasurer; and National Association of Realtors Director. A New Jersey Realtors officer role requires your local association’s recommendation, and each NAR director applicant will be asked to upload a letter of acknowledgement from their local association in order for the application to be deemed complete. Therefore, if you’re interested in applying for either a New Jersey Realtors officer role or an NAR Director position, please send an email to CORE CEO Anne Rendle at anne@core-realtors.com stating your intention to apply. Please don’t delay if you’re interested - officer recommendations by local associations such as CORE are due by Friday, June 4, and the online applications for both officers and NAR Director are due by Friday, June 18.
