Three-Year Energy Efficiency Plan

The Mass Save Air Source Heat Pump Rebate Program will include natural gas-heated homes!

Earlier this year, ACA/NE members had expressed concern about the new Massachusetts Three-Year Energy Efficiency Plan. Members were specifically concerned that the rebate for natural gas would not be the same as oil and propane.

ACA/NE members worried that customers would not participate in the Mass Save Program without a good heat pump rebate for natural gas.

Heat Pump Installation Assistance

Are you ready to help install heat pumps in another one million Massachusetts homes?

That’s what is needed to meet Massachusetts’ 2030 climate goals.

The HeatSmart Alliance is a fast-growing volunteer organization that helps accelerate the adoption of energy-efficient heat pumps in Massachusetts homes and buildings, including air-source and ground-source (geothermal) heat pumps, and heat-pump (hybrid) water heaters.

We currently have 50 participants from 26 Massachusetts communities, having doubled volunteer participation in each of the last two years. Our approach is to a) educate community members about heat pumps through our website, articles, and community events, b) provide one-on-one coaching to individuals who wish to evaluate heat pumps for their homes or businesses, and c) collaborate with like-minded organizations to share insights and best practices.
