Nearly 100 sales professionals from our industry are heading to Mall of America in Bloomington, MN a week from today to take part in the industry's first Sales Summit, May 29-30. The event and its curriculum were developed specifically to address the unique sales challenges and opportunities facing our industry.

"The response to this event has been overwhelming," said UMA President and CEO Stacy Tetschner. "The landscape of sales is constantly adapting as technology and consumer attitudes and behaviors evolve and change. Operators know they need to stay ahead of the curve by equipping their sales departments to succeed in today's economy, and tomorrow's. We have several operators sending multiple staff members. I predict this Summit will grow each year. "

Leading tech innovators, sales training pros and business management experts are featured presenters in a mix of keynotes, panels, training sessions and facilitated roundtables throughout the two-day event. And for those arriving early enough, there is an opportunity to register for a bonus session at 3 p.m. Tuesday, with keynote speaker Shawna Suckow, entitled: Don't become extinct: Join the sales evolution! There is a separate fee for the bonus session.

The Bus & Motorcoach Industry Sales Summit will take place in Mall of America, May 29-30. A limited number of participants will have the opportunity for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Mall's Enhanced Service Portal, a marvel of customer service technology that optimizes the user experience for mall customers.
