Members,
In an effort to keep you informed about sport governance, we wanted to share two important updates regarding the United States Equestrian Federation.
Yesterday, the United States Equestrian Federation announced that Murray S. Kessler was named the Federation's new President-Elect. Kessler will assume presidential duities at the USEF Annual Meeting in January 2017. Today, the USEF announced that the Federation's Board of Directors has chosen Bill Moroney to serve as the Chief Executive Officer.
In September, in accordance with the USHJA bylaws, the USHJA Board of Directors will elect a new president whose duties will officially begin at the close of the USHJA Annual Meeting in December 2016. Moroney will support the transition as this new president-elect takes office. Until a new president is elected and assumes office in December, the USHJA officers will continue to manage the responsibilities of president while Moroney remains on leave of absence from his presidency.
The USHJA wishes Bill Moroney and Murray Kessler all the best in their new roles and looks forward to continuing to collaborate with the USEF to serve our members and the entire sport.

Thank you for your membership, and we appreciate the opportunity to serve you.
Sincerely,
USHJA Staff
