It Takes a Village
Have you ever stopped to smell the roses at the pocket park east of Dupont Circle? If so, you are enjoying the handiwork and heart of Steve & Phil's gardening efforts.

You may also have been lucky enough to see butterflies amid the blooms and that's due to the creation of a Monarch Waystation - a place that provides resources like milkweeds that help monarchs reproduce and migrate.
Without milkweeds monarch breeding areas would not be able to produce the successive generations that culminate in the migration each fall.

Not only have Phil & Steve planted milkweed near our Circle, they were also found at last week's farmers market providing free milkweed for neighbors to plant and butterflies to enjoy.

Dupont Circle and The Butterflies, are lucky to have people like Phil and Steve contributing to our village!
