Member Spotlight

Travis Gillispie is soon to become the latest Eagle Scout from Chamblee Methodist’s Troop 268!

Travis’ Eagle project involved scanning and organizing some of CFUMC’s most precious records that, previously, were only available on paper. He captured and categorized over 20 years of baptismal records, as well as photos, newspaper articles, and church bulletins from special events like the 1980 dedication of this sanctuary.

Travis joined Cub Scout Pack 268 as a first grader and has just completed his twelfth and final year as a Scout. He has earned 29 merit badges, with Oceanography being his favorite.

Last Sunday, Aug 13, Travis completed his Board of Review, the final step before earning Eagle Scout rank. His ceremonious Court of Honor will be held in October.

Congratulations to the entire Gillespie family for Travis' achievement of this prestigious rank!
