HRSA Announces 2020 Quality Improvement Awards

On August 24, 2020, HRSA released the list of recipients of the national 2020 Quality Improvement Awards. Seventeen Mississippi health centers receive additional funding for Quality Improvement successes.

ACCESS Community Health Services, Amite County Medical Services, and North Mississippi Primary Care earned the Gold Badge as Health Center Quality Leaders for 2020, which means they are in the top 10% of health centers from around the country to receive this designation. The list of Mississippi awards can be found here. Congratulations to all of the health centers that were recognized.

“Community health centers have consistently demonstrated quality outcomes for some of Mississippi’s most vulnerable citizens,” said Janice Sherman, CEO of the Community Health Center Association. “Now, more than ever, access to primary health care in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic is essential. Community health centers provide high-quality access to health care to rural and underserved areas of Mississippi. We applaud the health center leadership and their teams.”
