Staff Educator who orients new employees, provides continuing education, coordinates nurse residency program, and manages American Heart Association courses.
What do you like best about your work?
Providing nurses and other clinical staff with new, exciting information related to their work.
What has been your biggest professional challenge?
The ability to facilitate change during a challenging time.
What advice would you give to someone new to the field?
The first year is always hard in nursing. You may question why you chose this career path. Eventually, you will find your niche, but it may take some trial and error to reach it.
Are there any tips you would like to share that have helped you get things done over the last year?
Persistence-- Do not give up on something that you are passionate about, especially if it results in positive change.
What are you most proud of?
Bringing two beautiful children into this world
What are you most looking forward to doing this fall?
Apple picking, the pumpkin patch, and bringing my children trick or treating
