Be Cautious

Have you received a call or text from an unknown source? One where the person on the other end apologizes for “having the wrong number” but then keeps the lines of communication open? Have you used a dating app to find that special someone? Be cautious, you could be at risk of losing some or all of your hard-earned money.

If you are a victim of fraud or you think you have been scammed, take action quickly!

1. Change your passwords on all impacted accounts.
2. Inform Duke Credit Union that your account has been compromised.
3. Contact Law Enforcement to provide them with as much detail as possible about the scam.
4. Monitor your account for any unauthorized activity.
5. Consider identity theft protection (if your sensitive information has been compromised).
