Hello SCA Members!

Summer is in full swing, and with it comes one of the busiest and most exciting seasons of the year for commercial arboriculture. Across the industry, crews are tackling demanding projects, attending conferences, and continuing to raise the bar for professionalism and safety. We're excited to share another issue of SCA Today, filled with practical insights, industry perspectives, and ideas you can put to work right away. We hope you enjoy the Summer issue!

We're also looking forward to seeing many of you in Detroit for the ISA Annual International Conference. Be sure to stop by the SCA booth to say hello, reconnect with colleagues, and learn more about what the Society has planned for the coming year.

One of the highlights of conference week will be the 2026 SCA Field Day, taking place on Sunday, August 9. This year's program will feature a behind-the-scenes tour of The Greening of Detroit's Walter Meyers Nursery, where attendees will learn about nursery operations, workforce development initiatives, and urban forestry in action. The day will conclude with a visit to Clark Park, where members of the Clark Park Coalition will share how trees and community partnerships are helping shape one of Detroit's most vibrant public spaces. Registration is now open through ISA, and we hope you'll join us for this unique opportunity to connect, learn, and experience commercial arboriculture from a new perspective.

Looking ahead to the fall, planning is already underway for RakeMaster at the International Tree Climbing Championship (ITCC) in St. Louis this October. We're excited to once again bring this crowd-favorite event to the climbing community and look forward to sharing more details as plans are finalized.

You'll also find SCA at TCI EXPO this fall! Whether you're a longtime member or just learning about the Society, we invite you to stop by our booth, meet the Board and staff, explore membership benefits, and tell us what you'd like to see from SCA in the future. We always enjoy hearing from members and making new connections across the industry.

Your engagement, ideas, and support continue to strengthen our community and advance the commercial arboriculture profession.
