A Legal and Technical Guide to COVID-19: Working Remotely
Monday, March 30, 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
Californians are currently subject to a stay at home order due to COVID-19. This order applies to real estate brokers and agents, as well as their clients. However, it is possible to continue your transactions while complying with the current restrictions. C.A.R. staff will discuss the newest C.A.R. forms relating to COVID-19 and how to handle your agent visual inspection disclosure requirements. This webinar will provide both legal and technical guidance on how to conduct your business safely and remotely during this challenging time.

The president just signed the new Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Stimulus (CARES) Act into law which includes a number of financial resources available to benefit business owners and independent contractors — including REALTORS® — who are dealing with financial fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic. This webinar will discuss how the new legislation, along with prior state and federal stimulus programs, can provide relief to real estate agents.

COVID-19 - SBA Lending & Stimulus Package: What to Expect in Lending

C.A.R.’s Transaction Rescue is bringing you insights from the lending community on the SBA lending availability and discussing what is going on in lending today. Get updates on both existing SBA lending programs and how the new CARES Act stimulus packages will open the door for additional business lending options.
C.A.R. Legal: C.A.R. Forms, Coronavirus Addendum and New Notice
Thursday, April 2, 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.
C.A.R. is currently revising the Coronavirus Addendum/Amendment to reflect your comments and concerns. The revised form, available in zipForm on Monday, is explicit that its terms will only be triggered if there is an actual COVID-19-related reason for performance and can be used to identify and verify the reason for performance.

C.A.R. is now taking Honorary Member-for-Life Applications for the 2020 C.A.R. Virtual Spring Business Meetings!
All eligible C.A.R. Honorary Member-for-Life applications to be considered by the Board of Directors at the Spring 2020 C.A.R. Business Meetings. Your email, verifying your starting year and association you had membership with as a REALTOR, and your birthdate MUST be sent to khinman@nevadacountyaor.com no later than April 9, 2020 in order for Kathy Hinman to complete the application and remit to C.A.R. by the 10th. To qualify as a C.A.R. Honorary Member-for-Life, REALTOR®, members of the State Association must have been an active C.A.R. member for a minimum of 25 years and reached the age of 75 years or older. If approved, state dues shall be deemed paid-in-full for life (commencing the year following approval - 2021) and shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of State Association membership accorded to all members.

New FREE resources. Kathy shared this wonderful benefit in yesterday's update. Again, it's true - NAR has re-instated its Right Tools Right Now program . Log onto NAR.REALTOR and the program is highlighted on the front page. They are offering FREE tools, education and services to assist you through this ever-changing time in the industry.
