Dear GAR and GMLS Members,

We hope that you are all well and are practicing social distancing as recommended to help flatten the curve. As the Board continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation, we want to thank you all for your cooperation and professionalism during this uncertain time. We understand the importance of keeping your business moving, and the GMLS Team remains fully available remotely to support you and your business.

Please continue to send any listings, change forms, requests and inquiries to [email protected] . To assure quick activation of new listings, please check the CRS Tax record for any discrepancies in ownership, and obtain signatures (or electronic authorization) from all parties prior to submitting for approval. Keybox requests are continuing to be fulfilled by 5PM daily.

All GMLS Broker and Public Open houses remain suspended until further notice. Virtual showings via FaceTime or a virtual tour in lieu of showings are strongly recommended for your safety.

Many of you are likely still in need of CE Credits before your March 31st (Brokers) or May 31st (Salespersons) renewal deadlines. The good news is that you can take those courses online, from the comfort and safety of your home, via greenwichrealtors.theceshop.com . The CE Shop offers all CT Mandatory and Elective courses, as well as options for approved NAR Ethics courses. All GAR members can get 40% off using coupon code ‘support40’ at checkout. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to the team via [email protected] or 203-869-0240 if you need any assistance with getting an account set up, or choosing your courses.

In addition to online continuing education options, the GAR/GMLS Office has transitioned our previously scheduled trainings to be hosted virtually. Earlier today, we hosted an Instagram training session for those who were registered. Next week, our Google Drive and LinkedIn training sessions will also be hosted virtually. Keep in mind that Victoria is also available for virtual one-on-one training sessions on any of the GMLS technology. Please email her directly via [email protected] to schedule an appointment.

We also want you to be aware that the National Association of REALTORS® has been advocating on behalf of you and your business to help get the Families First Coronavirus Response Act passed. Their efforts proved successful on Wednesday when Congress passed H.R. 6201 providing support to American workers, families, and businesses, including the expansion of paid sick leave and family medical leave. It also includes refundable tax credits for small businesses and self-employed individuals to cover the cost of the leave. Additional details and information on NAR’s continued advocacy are available here .

Lastly, we’d like to encourage our members to support other local organizations and businesses, now more than ever. Neighbor to Neighbor and Kids and Crisis are requesting donations to get food items to those in need. The United Way , with the help of the Town of Greenwich, has set up a fund to assist those in need locally. The Transportation Association of Greenwich is offering grocery delivery. Many local restaurants are still offering delivery and takeout, or consider purchasing a gift card for future use. Every little bit helps!

This is truly a time for us to come together (in spirit) as a membership and a community. Please stay connected and stay healthy.
