GRAR Member Update
Friday, May 29, 2020
Hello GRAR Members,

The Finger Lakes, Southern Tier, and Central New York regions are now in Phase 2 of re-opening. The state has provided guidelines for real estate operations in Phase 2.
To begin Phase 2 operations, all brokers will need to do the following:

  1. Fill in the Business Safety Plan and post a copy in each of your offices
  2. Read and Affirm you will follow the Detailed Guidelines for Real Estate
  3. Prepare all the required plans, protocols and procedures outlined in the Detailed Guidelines.

NYSAR has a new FAQ page related to re-opening. In addition to the information provided by the state in the link above, this FAQ page will be a very helpful resource to check on a regular basis.
In an email from NYSAR this morning:

Please note that every business will need to affirm compliance with the Detailed Guidelines by clicking a link at the end of the document and then providing the information requested. Licensees associated with the broker are not required to affirm the Detailed Guidelines individually.
Real estate offices will need to have a business safety plan. The information regarding the plan can be found HERE .   The “Responsible Party” for each real estate business must conspicuously post the completed safety plan in each real estate office.
We will continue to provide more information as it becomes available. Reach out to us at with any questions and check your Member Portal for general news items.
